About 10 minutes later, she told me that if she ever sees her best friend from preschool again, she is going to marry him, because she loves him. I decided not to ask about the bear hunting career.

You affirmed when the kid perceived a risk and came to a conclusion about responsible behavior given the risk.
And at the same time, you affirmed that pregnant women still engage in difficult and even dangerous tasks while pregnant without getting all judgy about anything.
You did not hold someone to a Life Plan when they changed their mind about it a few minutes later.
I LOVE all these things about this interaction. I probably love more, but I definitely love these things.
