I've been borrowing a Kindle from my sister. I described it to my toddler as a magic book that can be any book you want and never gets any bigger or heavier. And it always shows you the latest version of a newspaper or magazine. Isn't there a DnD item that fits that description?

I have no recollection of such a DnD item, but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. :-)
