Opponents of ban on gay marriages to rally
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER STAFF
Opponents of a U.S. constitutional amendment banning gay marriages will rally tomorrow in downtown Seattle.
Bill Dubay, local coordinator of a group called Don't Amend, said the rally was spurred by President Bush's support for a federal constitutional amendment.
He said gay-marriage proponents also are outraged by Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry's announcement yesterday that he supports amending Massachusetts' state constitution to ban gay marriages.
The rally will begin at noon in front of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Office Building, 915 Second Ave.
