Private landowner Seth March created homemade spawning beds for salmon. A backhoe operator dug a thousand feet of ditch, and March lined the bottom with clean gravel. He's put $40,000 into the project; I think it's also sponsored by Ecotrust, but that's not clear from their Web site.
